Now about this rock that everyone talks about.... its a rock....locked in jail....it has 1620 stamped on it....and sand that's raked daily. sad life.
The Plymouth Plantation is a complete reenactment of the beings of colonial life. First thing when you leave the Welcome center you head to the Indian Village and there are huts and canoes everywhere. They have a garden in the middle of the village. And there are people walking around in the native Indian garb working or doing things that they would have done back in the 1600's.There's suppose to like 20 people working and doing things but, we only had 3 actors in the village to talk to but it was still a blast.
Then we left to head to the colony. The colony we had conflicting feelings. The houses and animals running around were super fun to be apart of. But people wouldn't answer any of our questions. It was like they had a skit that they had to stick to. And they did make any since by they would talk in Old English and they'd talk fast and we couldn't understand anything they were saying. ( and trying to have an English accent with their real Boston accent doesn't really work.ha)
Then we went to The Craft Center. Where there is a carpenter that you watch and talk to about what he's doing and check out his tool. And there was suppose to be a potter but she was absent. And there was a Indian Man who made ALL the traditional arrows, bows, pots, bowls, etc. We spent most of our time at his station talking about EVERYTHING under the sun. It started of about the arrow heads he was making, then about his history, then Indian history and right before we left we were talking about dog.... this guy was cool!
Now we've made our way to Conneticut visting some family.
